Classroom etiquette, professionalism, sportsmanship, and commitment are standards we set for the dancers and parents involved in our competition team.

Dancers are expected to push themselves during rehearsals. Mediocrity is not allowed with SLDC. In order to become a great performer, you must master the art of being a student. Dancers are expected to pay close attention to the instructor, participate to their fullest potential, and be punctual.

SLDC competition team dancers are required to participate in Ballet Fitness. Ballet strengthens joints, muscles, and contributes to limber bodies. A dancer must have technique in order to perform any style of dance. It will help the dancer build self-confidence, and self-esteem.

Dancers are not required to compete in a Ballet routine.

Parents must participate in two or more fundraiser activities, in order to help reduce competition entry type fees. For more information on competition entry type fees, please read our FAQs.
